Legend has it I wrote my first short story when I was nine years old. I was on punishment in my room without my favorite toys and distractions. I called the masterpiece, “The Kid Who Ate Too Many Noodles.” Since that moment, I have used writing as a vehicle to bring my imagination to life and interpret the world around me. Sometimes, the interpretation is humorous. Sometimes, it could be void of comedy and filled to the brim with eloquent rage (shoutout Brittney Cooper). Either way, these words are my own, and I’m elated to share them with you.
